 Computation of Grades
  1. Computation of Grades Grade point average (GPA) and Total Credit
     Point (TCP):
      The weighted average of the grade points obtained in all the courses by a student and Total Credit Point (TCP) shall be calculated from the following equations:
        ∑i (CP)i x (GP)i
              GPA = —————–
              ∑i (CP)i                 where,
 GPA= Grade Point Average
(CP)i = Credit point for respective course,
                                         (GP)i= Grade point obtained in individual courses
                                      (TCP)i = ∑i (CP)i
  1. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): The weighted average of the GPAs of a student for all the courses will be calculated from the following equations:
         ∑j(TCP)j x (GPA)j
CGPA =    ————————–
                        ∑j (TCP)j
                                       where,
                                     ∑j (TCP)j = Total point for designated unit of time/course

GPA and CGPA shall be rounded off up 2 (two) places after to decimal to the advantage of the examinee. For instance, GPA= 2.112 shall be rounded off as GPA= 2.12.
Grade Improvement:
Promoted students earning a grade less than 2.50 in individual Course (s) shall be allowed to improve the grades on those particular courses.
  • If a Candidate fails to qualify (clear ‘F’) in first attempt he/she shall can reappear in a next examination with only paying examination fees.
  • If any Candidate fails to attend the required percentage of attendance (75%) he /she will get the chance to sit for the next examination with full course and examination fees.
