Ambassador Major General Mohammad Ashab Uddin ndc, psc (Retd.) ‍said that students can build a knowledge based society and a nation. He also urged the students that from now on they should prepare themselves to face the challenge of the 21^st century. He advised the students that they should acquire knowledge through academic education, should build strong morality, firm vision and ethical values for their professional success. If they have such kind of qualities, then they can contribute to our society as well as nation. In addition, he believed that the new generation can take ahead our society and nation through their selfless philanthropic activities.

Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan expressed his cordial thanks to the keynote speaker for giving valuable time and efforts. He said that the students of this University can learn many things from this seminar and will be attentive and careful regarding their education, morality, vision and ethical values in their real life. At the end of his speech, he hoped that if we do our duties honestly and properly, then our society and nation will be benefited.

All the speakers of the discussion meeting expressed their homage and profoundly remembered the Father of the Nation Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members who were brutally killed in the year of 1975. All the speakers also unanimously acknowledged that without Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s leadership we would not be able to achieve independence and the progress attained so far by country Bangladesh.

The program ended with a special prayer for the departed souls of the martyrs and the prosperity of the country.

On 31 July 2019 Hamdard University Bangladesh organized a Seminar on “Dengue: Present Bangladesh Scenario, Awareness and Prevention” in its permanent campus at Hamdard Nagor, Gazaria, Munshiganj. The keynote speaker of the Seminar was  Prof  Dr Liaquat Ali, Member of Board of Trustees, Hamdard University Bangladesh and Former  Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences. In the Seminar, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Khair, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration Prof Dr Md Nasim Anzum, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sadirul Islam, Dean (In-charge) of Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology Assoc. Prof Dr Mohammad Rabiul Alam, Registrar Dr Md Moazzom Hossain, Controller of Examinations Md. Nurul Huda, all the Heads of the Departments, all Faculty members, students and officers were present.

The Vice – Chancellor of the University Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan presided over the seminar.

Prof Dr Liaquat Ali discussed history, Classification, Characterization, Symptoms, Lab Investigation for Diagnosis and Management, Lab tests for diagnosis and monitoring, Management Indications of Hospitalization, Prevention and others regarding Dengue Virus and Fever. At end of the Seminar, he said that all kinds of development should be environment friendly.

Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan expressed his cordial thanks to the keynote speaker for giving valuable time and efforts. He said that the students of this University will be aware and careful and will also give instruction/suggestion to the family members regarding Dengue fever. In addition, he also said that from now on, a day of every month will be reserved for cleaning campaign of this University. If we will do our duty sincerely then our community as well as the nation will be benefitted, hope Prof Mannan.

At the beginning of the program dignitaries along with faculty members and students planted trees on the campus.

The keynote speaker of the Seminar was the Bangabondhu National Award Winner and former Professor of Chittagong University Prof Benazir Ahmed. He discussed the various types of Dolphin and their life cycle. He presented why the population of the Dolphin is decreasing day to day in the rivers of Bangladesh.

Mohammad Zamal Uddin (Russel) thanked all the concerned of this University to organize the Tree Plantation Program and the Seminar. He briefly discussed the natural beauty of this University.

Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan expressed his thanks to the Chief guest and keynote speaker for giving valuable time and efforts. He shortly discussed the philanthropic activities of Founder and Chief patron of this University Dr Hakim Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan. He believed that the students of this University will be aware and save the environment through such Tree Plantation Program and the Seminar. Hamdard University Bangladesh will be a model of Green Campus, hoped Prof Mannan.
